The idea for the Tiny Disciples Co. started a few years ago when we were gifted an Elf on the Shelf to do with our girls. At the time, I was unsure if I wanted to participate with this. I knew the girls would love it, but I wasn’t crazy about the idea of encouraging mischief or messes. Instead, I decided to keep it simple and I just moved the Elf to a new spot each day. I couldn’t believe how excited my girls got over something so small! I instantly knew that I wanted to point that excitement to Jesus and the true story of Christmas. From that moment on, our Elf became more than just a game- it became a way to keep Christ at the center of our holiday season. I began creating crafts and activities that were all Christ-centered for the Elf to bring each day and my girls loved it. More importantly, so many details of the Christmas story were sticking with them and even my two year old (at the time) could tell me details about the Christmas story. I wanted to be able to share this with other families so I created the 25-day step by step plan to be used for the Elf, Shepherd or really any stuffed animal. Each year, I develop a new plan with meaningful activities that point to Jesus and the previous plan is available for single day activities. This idea grew to wanting to create more crafts and activities for kids to participate with during the holidays. I hope you enjoy making meaningful memories with your kids.
